Your role

We are now looking for committed special educators for adult education in Stockholm. We seek you who want to be a key person in creating good conditions for learning within SFI and Komvux at the basic level. You will work both preventively and remedially and be part of the school's student support team. The work involves close collaboration with teachers, special educators, and other professionals to provide students with the support they need.

Examples of tasks and responsibilities:

  • Map students and support teachers in receiving new students
  • Teach and provide targeted interventions to students in need of support, both individually and in groups
  • Conduct study groups and targeted support interventions
  • Participate in and contribute to the school's support team
  • Document and follow up on students' development
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and career counselors
  • Contribute to the development of structures and processes for support and adaptations throughout the school
  • Guide and provide consultative support to teachers regarding adaptations and working methods
  • Evaluate and analyze support interventions

The position involves travel and work at several of Egen Regins units.

Your competence and experience

Requirements

  • Teacher's degree with certification in Swedish as a second language
  • Special education training, preferably with a focus on reading and writing difficulties
  • Good digital competence
  • Experience in navigating and driving processes in complex organizations

Meritorious

  • Experience from adult education/all study paths within SFI is highly meritorious
  • Experience in following up and evaluating interventions

Personal qualities

As a person, you are goal- and result-oriented and structured. You are flexible, development-oriented, and have excellent collaboration skills. You can work at both student and school levels while maintaining a holistic perspective at the Egen Regi level. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The positions will be filled provided that the necessary decisions are made. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis. The City of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.

At the labor market administration, we work to make it easy to develop by changing units and workplaces. This means that your employment is within the entire administration and that you may receive new assignments within other operations where your skills are most needed.
